Every year, we travel for a whole week to the Shandong region, bringing a team of shochtim (ritual slaughterers) and supervisors. We prepare poultry, slaughter and prepare 12,000 chickens which we will eat on Shabbat, holidays, and throughout the year. Although the majority of this large quantity is consumed in Guangzhou, our chickens also reach many places in China, allowing many Jews to eat kosher food.
Each chicken costs approximately $10, and the expense is enormous!
We are here for you all year round. When you come here for work, with G-d’s help, we provide prayers and minyanim, kosher food, Shabbat and holiday celebrations, and a Jewish atmosphere. All of this does not happen on its own; it requires a lot of effort and a lot of money to maintain and sustain.
